Rob Allanson 8.8

Nose: Opening a packet of wheat crunchie chips, sweet, spicy and a metallic note.
A little vinyl note, think 35mm film cases. Dark chocolate biscuits develop.

Palate: Breakfast bars, granola and almond milk with brown sugar and honey. Citrus and chocolate tones.

Finish: Chocolate bars with pecan nuts and rum soaked raisins. Ends with salted caramel.

Comments: Sweet, but that proof punches through magnificently.  Great stuff.

Sam Coyne 7.8

Nose: A nose of this won’t be enough – you’ll need a taste. Cereal, before fudge and warm custard. Freshly baked dough. A sweet treat.

Palate: A light mouthfeel, oak prickle, moving to almonds. Earthy sweetness. Summer fruits and cereals. Vegetal spice and cinnamon.

Finish: Long and spicy. Develops into menthol – becomes freshening.

Comments: Promises a lot and layers galore. Doesn’t quite live up to the nose, but delivers a decent drop.
