Rob Allanson 8.2

Nose: Floral, a glade of bluebells and lilac, then really sweetens into honey and marzipan. Oak aged chardonnay with a hint of incense.

Palate: Runny honey mixed with orange bitters, glacé cherries and vanilla pastry. Moves then to a meaty edge with a little salami sweet and spiciness.

Finish: Sweet all the way, with those aromatic bitters giving a little tingle.

Comments: Moves around a bit at first but then all comes together in that glorious finish.

Sam Coyne 8.0

Nose: Gentle spiciness before fudge. Maize and cereal. Oddly enough becomes quite rummy.

Palate: Brown sugar, oak that prickles the tongue. Green apples and vanilla on the mid-palate. Milk chocolate comes at the end.

Finish: Middling length, but a faint spice makes its presence felt. Oak, cinnamon and nutmeg. Then becomes grassy.

Comments: A good sipping whiskey, with which you just know where you stand. For friends and the everyday.
