Peggy Noe Stevens – 7.0

Nose: Decked out grape juice with some tangy citrus notes. Pale mustiness.

Palate: Blackberry jam, crushed blueberries with a punchy madeira twist.

Finish: Juicy fruit that coats your tongue with sugary edges.

Comments: Mix this with champagne for a creative cocktail. A knock off Kir Royale.

Susan Reigler – 7.0

Nose: Dark berries and not much else.

Palate: The fruit is definitely predominant. In fact, it even masks any alcohol flavor or warmth.

Finish: Short and sweet. There is an alcohol note at the very end.

Comments: In the words of novelist Muriel Spark’s Miss Jean Brodie, “For those who like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like.”
