Peggy Noe Stevens 9.1

Nose: Elegant caramel and toasted pecans with vanilla custard. Milk chocolate and peppery highlights. Go deeper for raisin and figs.

Palate: Gorgeous deep caramel. Layers of oriental spices and maple syrup. Butterscotch, then peaches and apricots pull through. Oak notes.

Finish: Long, sweet, dry finish with pipe smoke and generous finish.

Comments: An all night long sipping whiskey. This handsome Bourbon gets my attention, it is truly enchanting.

Susan Reigler 9.0

Nose: Caramel nougat with spices, followed by aromas of pitted fruit and roasted cashews. It’s easy on the nose.

Palate: Rich caramel base with brown sugar and dark honey is studded with fruit and nuts. Smooth for the proof and warm.

Finish: Medium length and rich. The fruit and nuts fade into pepper before the tannins mark the end. Dry not bitter.

Comments: Water is this whiskey’s friend. Add a little for ripe fruit. Even an ice cube would not be out of place.
