Peggy Noe Stevens 7.3

Nose: Coffee bean and citrus orange. Some crushed walnuts and golden raisin. Sage notes are unique and interesting. Earthy mushroom and stone.

Palate: Spicy herbal with some red licorice. The coffee bean aroma returns to the taste again. Brioche and clotted cream.

Finish: Truly shows off the earthy notes that are found at the finish.

Comments: The whiskey flavors are there trying hard to find their own personality.

Susan Reigler 7.7

Nose: Maple syrup. Resembles a liqueur more than a whiskey. Very sweet with spiced vanilla custard and cherries and berries.

Palate: Old-fashioned maple candy with cinnamon and clove. The cherries make a statement and there’s a hint of very new leather.

Finish: Poof! Doesn’t last long at all, which is surprising. Brown sugar left on the tip of the tongue after everything.

Comments: Change of pace sums this up. Save this as a dessert whiskey. Or add to coffee.
