Peggy Noe Stevens 9.2

Nose: Stunning rye nose with a smokey oak foundation. Figs and stone fruit, some cotton candy and sorghum. Laced with nutmeg and black tea.

Palate: Clear and rich with warm brown sugars and fruity black cherry with decadent dark chocolate. Beautifully defined spice that does not overpower.

Finish: A fabulous finish that is long-lasting. Texture is terrific.

Comments: Brimming with rich, vibrant flavor… a rye with serious density.

Susan Reigler 9.2

Nose: Old-fashioned stick candy with caraway and celery seeds, caramel and dates. Spices emerge.

Palate: Caramel meets saddle leather and shot through with cinnamon, allspice, rye grass, white pepper and dry oak. Sweet and spicy elements play well.

Finish: Just enough caramel to keep the pepper and oak at the end from turning bitter.

Comments: Caramel and milk chocolate blossom with a few drops of water. Savor this one.
