Nose: Dark brown sugar and caramel apple. Roasted nuts, crème brûlée, paprika and nutmeg. Toasted breadcrumbs. Dates.

Palate: Elegant and silky texture and the caramel flavor sails on the palate. Tasty oak notes build to sugared dates and brown sugar.

Finish: A fabulous finish that is balanced and complex, with plenty of spice and caramel.

Comments: Dense and elegant structure, delivers tons of character and sparks of sweetness and oak.

Score

9.1

Nose: Classic Bourbon nose of caramel with honey, apples and sweet spice. Orchard fruit – ripening cherries.

Palate: Cherry and vanilla ice cream topped with rich caramel sauce. Cinnamon, thyme, and a suggestion of  mint. The spices play musical chairs, changing places to lead the taste.

Finish: A long smooth landing of a finish that ends without a bump.

Comments: Like dessert in a glass. The sweetness would be
very well balanced in
a Boulevardier.

Score

8.5
