Napa Valley Heritance Cask Bourbon
Tommy Rotter Distillery
Peggy Noe Stevens
Nose: Floral notes abound and turn brilliantly into sweet caramel and vanilla. Some smoked marshmallow and golden raisin. Earthy notes of tobacco.
Palate: Great mouthfeel with a nice caramel and oak. Almost cassis-like with wood sugar and streaks of smoke.
Finish: Rests gently on the tongue and hangs with the sweet caramel and smoke.
Comments: I would never mix this, with the floral notes it is just nice on the rocks, or neat.
Nose: Will entice wine aficionados with red currants, milk chocolate, and sweet oak tannins. Vanilla with cinnamon-dusted pie crust.
Palate: Chocolate has become caramel-coated and studded with dark fruit. Cinnamon stick.
Finish: Glides along the tongue and settles into the back of the throat. Like a tune you can’t get out of your head, but you wouldn’t want to.
Comments: Lots of flavor layers here which play off one another more with the addition of a little water.
