Barrell Craft Spirits
Peggy Noe Stevens
Honey with a caramel frame. Mixed fruit compote and ginger. Elegant oak aromas with just the right amount of toastiness.
Dark brown sugar, lucious and rich, with complementary wood sugar and tannins. Marshmallow and dark chocolate with sorghum and graham cracker.
Lingers long and sweet with cinnamon and ginger on the lips. A few glimpses of dark cherry catch the palate.
Liquid sunshine in a glass, for sure – soak it all up!
Surprisingly shy nose; a suggestion of green pears, very faint caramel-vanilla, and perhaps a bit of cola, too.
Much more present! Pear, apples, canned fruit cocktail, and vanilla. Very polite for its proof, expressing whiskey warmth rather than heat.
Fruit dries to sweet oak. Again, pleasantly warm.
Good balance and very approachable. Would make an excellent, if potent, Manhattan or perhaps a Sazerac.
