Friday Cocktail Club #12 Make & Muddle Whiskey Sour

Recipe by Jennifer Brian

There’s never a bad time to enjoy a whiskey sour, and Friday Cocktail Club is no exception! The key to creating the whiskey sour of your dreams is to remember it’s all about personal preference, which is why this cocktail (created by Jennifer Brian) is the perfect place to start.

Select your Bourbon base, decide if you would like your version with or without egg white (or aquafaba) and enjoy – almost – as simple as.

As always, enjoy responsibly and tag us in your finished cocktail on social media!

Glass

Old Fashioned

Ingredients

1.5 oz Bourbon
0.75 oz Make & Muddle 7 syrup (adds all of those fall baking spice notes)
0.75 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
*Egg white or aquafaba (optional)
Dash aromatic bitters
Bourbon cherry to garnish

Prep

Place all ingredients except garnish in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 20 seconds. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass with ice or into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a Bourbon cherry.

*If using an egg white, strain the chilled cocktail into the other side of the shaker tin, dump ice and then add egg white and shake without ice (reverse dry shake) for 10 seconds. Strain into an old-fashioned glass with ice or a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a Bourbon cherry.
