Nose: Big caramel candy twist with dark chocolate and toffee. Sweet brown sugar and dark raisin. Autumn leaves and allspice. Stone fruits and coffee.

Palate: Coats your palate with layers of sweetness: caramel, brown sugar, and creamy crème brûlée. Oak tannins and coffee. Apple and stone fruit.

Finish: It lingers, clean and dry, getting deeper into allspice and clove.

Comments: A textured mouthfeel that you could cut with a knife and fork, this is lovely!

Nose: Sweet cherries with a pinch of cinnamon and almonds, followed by vanilla and brown sugar.

Palate: Cherries turn dark and vanilla becomes dark chocolate. Add a little water to release cinnamon Red Hots. Enjoyable balance of fruit-chocolate-spice.

Finish: Fruit lingers at the back of the throat while nutty oak softens. A dash of pepper flames up at the very end.

Comments: The proof accounts for some lip tingling. Otherwise, as smooth as it is complex.

8.8
