Nose: Cocoa and oak with hints of rye and cola. Ginger ale and toast. White cherry and classy oak. A full chorus of fruit notes from yellow apple to fig.

Palate: Warm bread and cereal elevates to rye and cinnamon. The cocoa extends itself with some vanilla and ginger.

Finish: Brings all the flavors together with a powerful kick of oak at the end.

Comments: An innovative blend of flavors that keeps delivering and packs a bit of a punch.

Score

8.8

Nose: Herbal rye grass, rye rolls and baking spices, followed by ripe apples, berries and figs. Rich and well rounded.

Palate: Lovely balance between fruits and herbal rye. Rich mouthfeel. Impressively smooth, given the proof. Fruit edges out the spice, but enough remains to provide a little accent.

Finish: Very long. A medley of fruit-herbs-spices gradually dries to clean, new oak.

Comments: Smooth, balanced rye whiskey without a trace of bitterness in its oak.

Score

9.0
