Eight & Sand
Blended Bourbon Whiskey
Peggy Noe Stevens
Bright vanilla and powdered sugar. Apple and slight fade of banana. Cardamom and oriental spice. Savory notes of bacon bits and earthy oak.
Astringent oak tannins. Mixed fruit of apple and banana. Herbal dominates.
Catches you on the finish with the astringency, yet herbal notes of sage and rosemary reveal.
Mixing it up for a batch cocktail highlighting the fruit notes would entertain this whiskey.
High-quality burley tobacco with dark cherries, cocoa and vanilla joining in almost immediately. A bit of orange peel, too.
Figs, dates, orange peel – supported by tobacco and caramel. A fair amount of oak shows up, as well.
xThe herbal character gives way to sweet oak as the finish lengthens and fades with a touch of spice, which persists for some time.
Very easy to drink neat with good interplay between the herbal and fruity notes.
