Peggy Noe Stevens

Nose
Warm baked bread, orange marmalade and almonds. Wood sugar and cane syrup. Apricot and herbal oregano.

Palate
Gracious grains and honeyed granola. Citrus and apricot compote. Airy vanilla with bites of ginger. White chocolate.

Finish
Ginger notes linger. Not much smoke or earthy oak, but still quite satisfying.

Comments
A gracious batch cocktail, with the citrus notes and ginger, would appeal to everyone who indulges.

Susan Reigler

Nose
Light caramel or brown sugar supports freshly pealed peach, balanced by allspice and sweet cherry. It’s light, but rather tantalizing.

Palate
The caramel is richer and joined by leather, cinnamon, and some milk chocolate. The fruit has taken a back seat here.

Finish
Caramel fades to nuttiness with some dry oak. Pleasant warmth persists in the throat.

Comments
Balanced sip that shows a fair amount of complexity at a low proof.

8.0
