Peggy Noe Stevens

Nose
Paprika and sliced peaches with hints of white cherry. A spark of dill and herbal caraway seed. Smouldering oak char.

Palate
Strikingly warm, yet brings all the spice in over the heat. Cinnamon and nutmeg. Wood sugars to vanilla bean and maple syrup.

Finish
Robust and playful with the heat and spice. Holds long with the spices and gingerbread completion.

Comments
Admirable texture and zingy heat that keep you interested with each sip.

Score

8.7

Susan Reigler

Nose
Ripe apples and pears stored in a hot barn loft vie with sweet nuts, freshly ground clove, and caramel. Herbal cigar tobacco and old book leather.

Palate
The book leather and tobacco are back, then fruits, nuts and very rich toffee. Luxurious mouthfeel.

Finish
Carmel and tobacco dominate.

Comments
Barrel-proof Bourbon aficionados will want to have this. Add a giant, slow-melting ice cube to it and revel in the evolution of flavor notes.
