We’re back with our cocktail of the week, this time featuring the Kentucky Peerless Rye in a New York Sour.
60 ml of Peerless Rye
30 ml of fresh lemon juice
15ml of simple syrup
30 ml of a fruity red wine (Shiraz or Malbec) to float on top
Combine rye, lemon juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, cover, and shake until outside of shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Gently pour ed wine over the back of a spoon held just above the drink’s surface so wine floats on top.
