In 2018, Baltimore-based whiskey brand Old Line Spirits opened The Ready Room, a cocktail bar made to showcase the versatility of its American single malt whiskey. The bar also offers tours, whiskey tastings, and space for private bookings.
We decided to try the bar’s Old Charm Square cocktail.
Old Charm Square
- 1oz Old Line American Single Malt Whiskey
- 1oz brandy
- 0.25oz Benedictine
- 0.75oz sweet vermouth
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass or shaker. Fill the shaker with ice. Stir for 20–25 seconds. Strain into rocks glass over fresh ice.
