Copperworks Distilling Co has announced the inaugural release for its newly launched Copperworks Whiskey Club, Copperworks Red Wine Cask American Single Malt Whiskey.
This limited-edition American single malt was crafted with Genie barley, grown in Athena, Oregon, just across the Washington border in the Walla Walla Valley, and matured for more than six years in a French oak cask that previously held red wine. The result is a whiskey that combines locally grown barley with unique, old-world wine flavors.
Tasting notes provided by Copperworks Distilling Co say this release has notes of red currant and sweet cotton candy on the nose, followed by orange creamsicle, graham cracker, and pound cake on the palate.
Available exclusively through the Copperworks Whiskey Club, the Copperworks Red Wine Cask American Single Malt Whiskey release is part of a new quarterly series of small-batch releases created specifically for club members.
The options for the club membership, which is free to join, include one or two bottles per quarter, starting at $89.99 plus tax and shipping. Members will also receive 25 per cent off one order within 30 days of joining, access to exclusive tasting events, and a club-only Glencairn glass with their first shipment.
