The world-renowned Kentucky Bourbon Trail has announced the first, worldwide toast to Kentucky Bourbon. The global celebration will take place on September 17, 2024, inviting bourbon lovers from every corner of the globe to raise a glass to one of America’s most respected spirits.
The worldwide toast to Kentucky Bourbon is a virtual, social media event designed to bring people together to celebrate Kentucky Bourbon and honor those in the global industry for making it the global success it is today.
September is Bourbon Heritage Month, and this marquis event marks the 25th anniversary of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The event will pay tribute to the people and cultures from across the globe whose traditions inspired the birth of Kentucky Bourbon nearly two centuries ago.
There are two ways to join the global toast on September 17:
- “Toast and Post”: Capture a photo or video of your toast, post it on social media using the official hashtag, #WorldBourbonToast, and tag the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
- Join the Livestream: Tune in to the livestream at 4 p.m. in your local time zone at the World Bourbon Toast website, and share a toast with others in real-time. The livestream will feature a new toast every hour, on the hour.
Eric Gregory, president of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association, commented: “The Kentucky Bourbon Trail plays a vital role in supporting hospitality and communities across Kentucky, and with visitors from all 50 states and dozens of countries, we are proud to welcome guests from all walks of life to the one, true, authentic home for Bourbon. Kentucky Bourbon has become a global phenomenon with more than $500 million in exports this past year to meet the international demand for America’s Spirit. We hope you join us in raising a glass to the spirit that unites us all.”
