As a continuation of its exploration in the American single malt whiskey production, Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey has announced the second release of its annual Diamond Peak whiskey.
The Diamond Peak Batch #2: Extra Añejo Cask is the next step in the distillery’s limited-release creative-cask series. The 2023 is a result of a marriage between Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey, and Reserva de la Familia, the extra añejo tequila made from the Jose Cuervo family’s special reserves.
The Diamond Peak Batch #2: Extra Añejo Cask is Stranahan’s Colorado whiskey that has been aged for five to eight years, to then spend just over two years in Extra Añejo aged casks. The latter had previously held the Jose Cuervo family’s most premium small-batch tequila, Reserva de Familia, creating a unique blend of rich, complex, and ultra-smooth flavor.
This year’s release is bottled at 90 proof, with an MSRP of $79.99 - $84.99 per 750ml bottle.
