Westward Whiskey has announced its third club release of 2024: Westward Whiskey Bottled-in-Bond.
Aged for at least four years in one bonded facility, the expression was first distilled in March 2017 and is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). It’s matured for seven years in the state of Oregon, where the warm, dry summers, and cool, wet winters are said to develop flavor and allow for the emergence of subtle complexities.
The producer has described the spirit as having aromas of toasted walnuts, heather and green tea, with notes of dark fruits, caramelized nuts and light ginger spice on the palate.
Commenting on the release, master blender Miles Munroe said: “With this expression, we set out to capture the pioneering spirit of the American Northwest while honoring a rich whiskey-making tradition. Bottled-in-Bond expertly demonstrates the maturing power of the Pacific Northwest’s climate and the skill of our blenders.”
Launched in 2019, the Whiskey Club gives members exclusive access to club-only whiskey releases, club-only events led by Westward’s team, and fellowship with others who celebrate the Oregon-based brand.
Westward Whiskey Bottled-in-Bond will be available for club members at an RRP of $99.95.
