Kentucky’s own Woodford Reserve has announced its annual refresh of its limited-edition holiday bourbon bottle, just in time for the beginning of the festive season.

A signature festive golden bow is printed across the bottle labels, with the aim of conveying the gift giving spirit of the holiday season.

Commenting on the release; master distiller Elizabeth McCall said: “Woodford Reserve is a remarkable gift for whiskey lovers and cocktail enthusiasts alike. With this year’s look, no gift wrapping required.”

Bottled at 90.4 proof, the producers have described the expression as having aromas of rich dried fruit, mint and oranges, with notes of citrus, cinnamon and cocoa on the palate.

The 1l Woodford Reserve holiday bottle is available across the United States at an SRRP of $52.99.

Christmas Cocktail idea: Spiced Cherry Mule

One Christmas cocktail supplied by Woodford Reserve which we think would also work exceptionally well with this new release is the Spiced Cherry Mule.

Ingredients:

1.5oz Woodford Reserve holiday bourbon

3 dashes of Woodford Reserve spiced cherry bitters

3oz Simple Times spiced cherry mule mix

1 lime wedge

Grated cinnamon and 1 cinnamon stick

Method:

In a Collins glass, add the bourbon, bitters, and mule mix. Squeeze a lime wedge and add to liquid. Fill with ice and stir. Garnish with freshly grated cinnamon and add cinnamon stick.
