High n’ Wicked unveils two new cask strength whiskeys

High n’ Wicked has announced the release of its first cask strength rye and its newest cask strength bourbon expressions, both with a limited release.

High n’ Wicked Straight Rye Whiskey uses a five-year aged sour mash and a mash bill of 91% rye and 9% malted barley. The expression has been distilled by New Riff Distilling and bottled at 62% ABV, or 124 proof.

The Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey expression meanwhile features a five-year aged sweet mash, with the goal of greater complexity of flavor. The mash bill includes 51% corn, 39% rye and 10% malted barley and is distilled, aged and bottled at cask strength – 61.6% ABV or 123.2 proof.

High n’ Wicked was founded in 2019 by W.L. Lyons Brown III and Kevin E. Sachs, two former Brown-Forman senior executives who were instrumental in building both Jack Daniel’s and Southern Comfort in Europe and Asia.

Both new expressions have an SRRP of $90, which may vary market to market. All offerings are regularly available in 41 US states and Washington DC, as well as via the brand’s own website.
