Peggy Noe Stevens

Nose
Rolled granola and honey glaze. Gorgeous malty notes that are generous and consistent. White pepper and grassy hay.

Palate
Beautiful elevation of pear syrup and peach that rides alongside the rolled granola. An almost sweet tart candy that brings gingery notes at the end.

Finish
Long ginger finish that also highlights the granola and honey flavors.

Comments
Gingersnaps in a glass. Love the spice and even finish.

Score

8.4

Susan Reigler

Nose
Newly sawn wood, a very light whiff of ripe apples, and a suggestion of new drapery, such as would be encountered in a furniture store.

Palate
Nutty, with those shy apples. A distinct note of chocolate appears, followed by some oaky notes.

Finish
Longish, but mostly with a lingering warmth on the tongue. The flavors fade to a peppery tingle.

Comments
Not complex, but well balanced.
Water coaxes out some brown sugar. Drink over a large ice cube to mitigate some of the pepper.

Score

8.0
