Peggy Noe Stevens 7.6

Nose: Cake batter and sweet vanilla, with fruit notes of macerated white cherry. Honeyed granola and grains peek through on the end.

Palate: Airy sweetness and vanilla highlights.  A short snapshot of wood lingers, then golden apple. Meringue and white chocolate, then soft grains explore.

Finish: Delicate finish that is warm and sweet, a honey and vanilla mix.

Comments: At the proof, this could make a nice mid-week drink when you are trying to behave yourself.

Susan Reigler 7.3

Nose: Very sweet with lots of brown sugar, marzipan and candied fruit, but virtually no spice. An old-fashioned candy store.

Palate: Candy shop becomes a bakery. This is a vanilla cupcake with white frosting and just a little baking spice emerges with lemon zest.

Finish: The sweetness flattens quickly into a mildly peppery ending.

Comments: The sugary character may appeal to those with a sweet tooth as a ‘beginner Bourbon’ but lacks some balance.
