Included in the collection:
George T. Stagg
This year George T. Stagg is at a lower proof of 116.9, which will be the lowest in that whiskey’s history. Master distiller, Harlen Wheatley has stated that the barrels located on the lower warehouse floor is the reason for this decrease in proof: “Many of the barrels for this year’s Stagg composite were taken from the first floor of the warehouse. The first floor is cooler with higher humidity levels, therefore the alcohol evaporates faster than the water.” The taste, however, is still what Stagg fans can expect, vanilla and toasted oak with a floral undertone, followed by a long finish of cherries, coffee and black pepper.
William Larue Weller
This uncut, unfiltered, wheated Bourbon is at 128 proof and was aged in Warehouse 1, with bold flavours that include toasted vanilla and coffee.
Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye
A straight rye whiskey, the Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye was distilled in spring 2013 and at 125.7 proof, it produces a profile of creamy butterscotch and vanilla.
Eagle Rare 17 Years Old
This year’s release has remained at the newly heightened proof of 101, a tribute to the original strength used when the brand launched in 1974. The Bourbon is full of cocoa, caramel and oak flavours.
Sazerac Rye 18 Years Old
The 2019 edition of this straight rye was produced from barrels filled in spring 2001, with notable flavours of vanilla, maple syrup and spearmint.
